Week 24 – I Am Grateful

As this session of the MKE came to a close, I have found myself so grateful for the opportunity to take part in this adventure.

To be truthful I started on this journey from a selfish point of view.  I wanted to make my business better by improving myself.  What I did find is that I was introduced to a world that was vastly different from what I expected. This world was a world where you not only are able to help yourself, but where you learn to help others. In helping others, you realize a fuller compensation for your efforts.  , the world within.  The world within is an infinite source. It operates whether you are aware of it or not.  The MKE simply pointed this out to our group and then we were allowed to develop and discover this marvelous resource on our own.  Self Directed.

Through this experience I have found out about myself. I have found out how great my God is in what He has created. I am grateful for all of the people that have gone through this journey with me. I am grateful for the insights of others and their sharing with me.

Guest Blog – Week 2 A Bit Dazed but Excited

I wanted to share some of my friend Dave’s initial experience with the Master Key Experience. Week 2 A Bit Dazed but Excited
Well here we are in week two and I have actually survived nearly two weeks with this mkmma program. So what am I feeling this week after being, “Dazed & Confused” in week one. I am still in a bit of a daze but much less confused and really excited as I am beginning to make out a sort of schedule to do the “honor” requirements and I am making some headway towards getting a handle on the “Tangible” requirements. I start and stop and start and stop and then start again, but then I go back and review the video and also my notes and downloaded and printed materials. Week 23 – You Get What You Give

As I go through this MKE journey, I am finding that there is no coincidence and that I am less surprised about what I observe as I have learned how our world within works.

This last week in church we started to study the book “The Blessed Life” in which we find that “when God changes your heart from selfishness to generosity, every part of your life-journey is affected.

This week in the Master Key Part 23 we find that “that the law of success is service; that we get what we give, and for this reason we should consider it a great privilege to be able to give.”

“A generous thought is filled with strength and vitality, a selfish thought contains the germs of dissolution; it will disintegrate and pass away.”

The latest scroll in the Greatest Salesman says I make my own weather, yea I transport it with me. If I bring rain and gloom and darkness and pessimism to my customers then they will react with rain and gloom and darkness and pessimism and they will purchase naught. If I bring joy and enthusiasm and brightness and laughter to my customers they will react with joy and enthusiasm and brightness and laughter and my weather will produce a harvest of sales and a granary of gold for me.”

Coincidence? I think not. Natural law will always follow its own course perfectly. No surprises here. It’s up to us to be observant enough to see it working and take full advantage.

I have also been impressed with the thought that what we give is what we get back. The exchange is like for like.  Luke 6:37-38 says  37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

This is a great instruction as well as a great warning.  You can give good service to people or you can give bad service and it will come back exactly as you have given it.  Giving is a spiritual act coming from within and manifests on the outside exactly as it has been created.

Wherever I go I bring a gift. I may bring a compliment, prayer, trinket, flower… but I promise I will give something to every person I encounter.

I promise to be a grateful receiver of the gifts that surround me, pausing often and noticing nature, kindnesses, smiles, and compliments, to which I gladly receive with a “thank you”.

I promise to give hope for joy, affluence, kindness and love, consciously with every encounter regardless of the brevity.

I promise to give without expectation of reciprocity, from the channels I enrich because I know that I am in the dynamic flow of giving and receiving.

Week 22a – What Do I Do Now?

I like to do projects around our home.  We’ve remodeled kitchens and bathrooms, laid tile and wood floors, painted, built buildings, and landscaped to make our home a more beautiful place to live. To do these projects requires tools. Tools are very useful when you know how to use them.  They aren’t very useful when they sit around unused. My latest project has been remodel our shower and lay tiles.  I needed to use saws, levels, hammers, screw guns, trowels, sponges, and other tools to form and assemble raw materials together to make the finished product, a beautiful shower we can use and enjoy for years to come.  I especially want to note that I’ve used these tools many times over the years.  Through use I have developed skills to be able to work with proficiency to create things.

We’ve been handed a whole group of new tools in our MKMMA journey. These tools have names like fear, anger, guilt, hurt feelings, and unworthiness.  Huh?!  These are tools?

Back in Week 21 I wrote   Are fear, hurt feelings, anger, guilt, and unworthiness the rock that weighs you down or are they the rock that you stand on from which you gain courage, healing, forgiveness of yourself and others who hurt you, and most of all worthiness. First comes the awareness that these things hold me back, then identifying what they are and why I believe the way I do. Then with the help of God, put them below me not above me. They are also things not to be forgotten lest they enter back and manifest again.”

When learning to use tools I have found that I need to be aware of how they work. Tools can actually be destructive and hurt me if I don’t use them correctly, but if I harness them and direct their energy to a constructive purpose it will result in creation of something I desire. When I do a project I have also visualized a finished creation before I start.

OK, so how do we use these usually icky things as tools?

Fear – Being afraid kicks the subconscious mind into self preservation mode. However, fear has an enormous amount of energy.  Fear carries with it concentration and focus and eliminates all distraction.  When we’re afraid, that’s all we can think about.  Fear then converts thoughts to actions. The key is to channel this energy, something that we have learned in the MKMMA through our silent time.

Anger – Anger contains massive energy.  This energy needs to be directed somewhere.  It can be directed toward yourself (guilt) or toward others (not a good choice) or channeled to a constructive purpose. “The best revenge is living well!”

Guilt – Guilt is self-directed anger. Channel the anger.  Guilt is a confirmation that you are a good person. Good people feel bad when they do something wrong. Bad people feel good when they do something wrong. Embrace guilt! It is evidence that you know what you have to do.

Hurt Feelings – Hurt feelings acknowledge that you care. Use the Law of Substitution to make this a reminder that you are a caring person instead of being a distraction. Release yourself from “How I think the world should treat me”

Unworthiness – Unworthiness has nothing to do being worthy.  The bottom line here is that you CAN have ANYTHING you want, you just can’t have EVERYTHING you want. It boils down to being limited by time and price. According to Curly in City Slickers, you can only pick ONE thing. My intention is to do ONE thing and not have my plate overfilled otherwise feelings of unworthiness will come.  It comes down to the ultimate question…”What would the person I intend to become do next?”  This is a tool that keeps us on track.

So this is the remodeling project for the rest of my life.  I have the tools to create what I desire.

I so much appreciate the MKMMA leaders Mark, Davene, and Trish for allowing us to explore these in this extra week 22A in helping us to to help ourselves becoming self discoverers. Week 23 coming up.

Week 22 – Speak to Him and Take Out the Garbage

Another refreshing week!

The exercise this week was concentrate on Tennyson’s beautiful lines “Speak to Him, thou, for He hears, and spirit with spirit can meet, Closer is He than breathing, and nearer than hands and feet.” Then try to realize that when you do “Speak to Him” you are in touch with Omnipotence.

The silent sit time has allowed me to invest more time with my creator understanding who He is and what he does.  There is a realization that we must get rid of waste in our lives to be able to be as healthy as we can be.  Haanel’s introduction to Part 22 made it very clear that we don’t get rid of things that hold us back from our purpose and dreams and physically this also leads to the aging process.

The life processes are carried on by two distinct methods; first, the taking up and making use of nutritive material necessary for constructing cells; second, breaking down and excreting the waste material.

All life is based upon these constructive and destructive activities, and as food, water and air are the only requisites necessary for the construction of cells, it would seem that the problem of prolonging life indefinitely would not be a very difficult one.

However strange it may seem, it is the second or destructive activity that is, with rare exception, the cause of all disease. The waste material accumulates and saturates the tissues, which causes autointoxication. This may be partial or general. In the first case the disturbance will be local; in the second place it will affect the whole system.

The problem, then, before us in the healing of disease is to increase the inflow and distribution of vital energy throughout the system, and this can only be done by eliminating thoughts of fear, worry, care, anxiety, jealousy, hatred, and every other destructive thought, which tend to tear down and destroy the nerves and glands which control the excretion and elimination of poisonous and waste matter.

This brings to mind the scripture Philippians 4:4-9. The instruction is clear reminding me that He is near and that good things don’t just fall out of the sky and that I must practice to receive His peace.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.   Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.  Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

With that I move into the next week with great anticipation and further insight to the unseen reality of God who is “closer than hands and feet”.

Week 21 – Truth Will Set You Free

Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32

My exercise of in the silence this week was to concentrate on the truth and realize that the truth shall make you free. “Realize that the Silence offers an ever-available and almost unlimited opportunity for awakening the highest conception of Truth.” This is just flat out powerful. Haanel’s introduction to Part 22 also states “if prayer has ever been answered, it will always be answered “. Since prayer can also done in silence it was a perfect combination!

In the master key experience group we also are examining how fear, hurt feelings, anger, guilt, and unworthiness come into play and how do we use them as tools rather than things that constrict who we are and what we do to compensate for these gaps. As I read through our mastermind group comments it comes down to what the Master Teacher in John 8:32 has been teaching us since the beginning of mankind. Know the truth and it will set you free.

Week 20 – Time Keeps On Ticking

This week Scroll V and Sunday’s webinar really got me to thinking more about making the most out of all the time I have been given.

Scroll V still resounds with time being the most precious thing we possess. Don’t dwell on yesterday. It’s gone. Don’t hope for tomorrow. It’s not promised.  Today is the present. It’s called the present because it’s a gift. I will enjoy the people I love and make most of the opportunities that I have today.

The new flash cards I have with Birth – Death represent that my life is the dash between the day I’m born and the day I die.  Summer is my favorite season. I’ve had 57 of them.  I was born in the summer. Some of my best memories were in the summer. How many do I have left? I don’t know, but I do know it will be limited.  What will I do with what is left?  Make the best of them and become who I desire to be.
